hekaya zanzibar completely exceeded my expectations! after a disappointing previous stay in pingwe, i was guided to hekaya and it was like a dream come true. from the breathtaking views and amazing room to the warm and attentive staff, everything was perfect. i couldn't have asked for a better experience for my wedding ceremony.

wifi was spotty

We lucked out with a super spacious and stunning room that had a balcony, a big terrace, and a gorgeous bathroom. the location of this place is top-notch, as it's close to the beautiful eastern coast and a bunch of other restaurants and bars nearby. 🌴

Great location, delicious food, friendly and professional staff, clean and beautiful surroundings. Manager Godfrey was incredibly helpful during a personal issue, providing fantastic assistance. The Masai guys made my son's stay magical. This was our best stay in Zanzibar, didn't want to leave.

Hekaya always feels like home. The staff is friendly, helping me with late check out on my first stay. With Wi-Fi, parking, security, bar, restaurant, massage. Can't wait to come back for Christmas!

I truly enjoyed staying in this 4-star hotel. the room was magnificent and stunning. - the bathroom was beautiful and included a shower and hair dryers. - the staff was very pleasant, amazingly nice, and responded promptly to requests. - Its location was favorable, near the famous restaurant and the island.

Nice pool, parking nearby. Exceptionally comfortable bed in the a double room, plus climate control, an individual safe and a seating area. Location so close to the other restaurants in Pingwe, and has great views of the famous Rock restaurant...

The hotel boasts an ideal location close to other facilities like restaurants and beaches. The rooms are beautiful, with a sea view and well-equipped bathrooms. Guests can enjoy the delicious breakfast with fresh fruits and homemade jam. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and provides excellent service, including arranging day trips and helping with any questions one may have. Guests can also relax in the beautiful pool and sunbathe in the garden.

Finding the hotel may be a bit challenging, since it is not marked with a sign, and guests may have to ask for directions to locate it.

Everything was perfect, incredibly nice staff, great views at the ocean. It had stunning and amazing location short walk to another area with lots of star fish, and the other restaurants. In the evening we went to Pandu Ngozi, located at a moderate distance from the hotel.

Got well-equipped room with all the amenities. The staff was easygoing and very very helpful, we got their full attention.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating, always putting guests' comfort first. the rooms are kept clean and comfortable with reliable WIFI. the food at the restaurant is delicious and there are plenty of other culinary options on the beach. the highlight of our stay was the stunning and pristine beach just a few steps away.

While we had a great stay, the breakfast options were limited. we encountered minor glass fragments in the sand on the beach, so we advise guests to be cautious.

Our stay at this beach resort was absolutely incredible! We were blown away by the warm welcome and the stunning ocean view from our spacious and clean room. The restaurant served delicious food with a wide variety of options for breakfast, and the cocktails at the pool bar were mind-blowingly good. The staff, including the gardener who took us on a tour of his garden, were attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The location, right on the beach and next to the famous Rock restaurant, was perfect for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. We also enjoyed exploring nearby attractions such as Paje Beach, a spice farm, and a cave. We can't recommend this place enough for its beautiful setting, friendly staff, and excellent value for money. It truly exceeded our expectations and we would definitely return if given the chance!

We had an incredible stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, just steps away from the beach and the view was amazing. The room was spacious, clean and well-decorated. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, adjusting the menu for our plant-based diet. The hotel facilities, especially the pool, were well-maintained and perfect for a relaxing vacation.

The breakfast menu could have been more diverse.

What an amazing place!! The room and view were incredible, felt like home. The staff, especially Elena and John, were so nice and helpful. The boat trip with Moussa was amazing. Mustapha was a great guide with a big heart. Perfect location, beautiful beach, lovely staff, great food.

Can't fault the property.

The hotel had a great location directly on the beach, which was very quiet and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed the fresh tropical fruit served at breakfast and the delicious food on offer in the restaurant. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and had great views of the ocean. We also appreciated the free and fast Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel.

While the staff did their best to keep the beaches clean, there was a lot of seaweed and rubbish which detracted from the natural beauty of the area. Another issue we found was jellyfish in the sea, which could be a bit of a nuisance if you wanted to swim.
